Account Executive

At EMG we work with our clients to create stories and help connect them with their audience, the media and industry influencers. We develop communications campaigns in print, digital, social and event-marketing, and evolve with the media landscape.

Today, we are seeking a digital-savvy and entrepreneurial-minded Account Executive, who is one part storyteller, one part social media guru and two parts client and media relations to join our growing team. Plus, you must love working with international clients because with offices in the Netherlands and China, our clients come from everywhere.

What you’ll do:

  • Assist the Account Manager/Director with the formulation of marketing communications and media relations plans for clients.
  • Identify stories, develop key messages, select key media and schedule key connections.
  • Use your expertise of the digital marketplace to realise impactful social media strategies for clients.
  • Assist with arrangements for events, exhibitions, press conferences, one-to-one interviews and press tours.
  • Develop marketing support materials including determining design and content for the materials.
  • Project manage, report and monitor media and influencer opportunities.
  • Write press releases, blog posts, social media content and other marketing communications.
  • Develop and maintain close relations with key influencers and media. Pitch stories to journalists.
  • Work within agreed client budgets and internal EMG cost budgets.

What you should bring:

  • Diploma of Higher Education
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in industrial/technology B2B marketing communications either on the agency or client side of the business.
  • Exceptional communication and social skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a drive to be strategic as well as hands-on.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills in English.
  • Ability to travel when needed.
